Lancashire  

Hesketh Estates continues to own property, and property related rights and interests, including rights to restrictive covenants, rights of pre-emption, and rights of reverter, in and around a number of villages in Lancashire that have been owned by the Hesketh family for hundreds of years.

The Hesketh family have owned manors in and around Rufford since the 12th Century. Most notably Rufford New Hall and Rufford Old Hall which was gifted to the National Trust in 1935. The Hesketh interests included the areas of Holmeswood, Sollom, Croston, Mawdesley, Hoscar and Ormskirk.

The Hesketh family founded and built a large number of churches and schools in the villages surrounding Rufford, some of which are still active today.

          Northamptonshire

Hesketh Estates continues to own property, and property related rights and interests, including rights to restrictive covenants, rights of pre-emption, and rights of reverter, in and around a number of villages in Northamptonshire that have been owned by the Fermor-Hesketh family for hundreds of years.

​

Hesketh Estates have extensive land holdings as well as widespread sporting and riparian rights.

​

Through the marriage of Sir Thomas Hesketh to Lady Anna Fermor the newly expanded Fermor-Hesketh interests came to include the areas of Easton Neston, Wood Burcote, Pury End, Paulerspury, Alderton, 

Grafton Regis, Ashton, Stoke Bruerne, Blisworth, Gayton, Tiffield, Caldecot, Greens Norton, Duncote, Whittlebury, Shutlanger, Heathencote and Towcester. The Hesketh Estate has made a significant mark on the local area and conveyed several religious buildings, public areas and playing fields on favourable terms.
